Airplane & Helicopter Degree Programs

Enhance your career prospects and take advantage of more financing options.

You can earn a two or four-year college degree at one of our partner colleges in tandem with your airplane flight training at Hillsboro Aero Academy. We’ve partnered with Portland Community College (PCC) and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) — Portland Campus to set you up for the career you’ve always dreamt of having.

Two-Year Associate’s Degree in Aviation Science

Portland Community College’s Aviation Science program is a two-year degree available to both helicopter and airplane students. It offers classroom learning at PCC’s Rock Creek campus in the Portland, OR area, with flight training at our Hillsboro (airplane) and Troutdale (helicopter campuses).

PCC’s two-year degree is also a great option for students who are exploring whether to combine a four-year college degree with flight training, because the credits may be transferred to a four-year program down the road.

Four-Year Bachelor of Science in Professional Flight

Purdue University’s Professional Flight program is a four-year degree available to our airplane students. The program offers flexible online learning from anywhere in combination with flight training at our Hillsboro or Redmond campuses.

Students who complete their Professional Pilot ratings with us receive 45 college credits from Purdue Global toward their degree — equivalent to one year of college credits. Our students and their immediate family members also enjoy a 20% tuition discount toward undergraduate degrees.

Four-Year Bachelor of Science in Aviation Program

Multnomah University’s aviation program is a new entry in our four-year degree options. Students attend classes online or while completing their flight training at our Hillsboro, OR campus.

Four-Year Bachelor of Science in Aviation Program

Liberty University’s Aviation program is also a four-year degree available to our airplane students, offering flexible online learning from anywhere in combination with flight training at our Hillsboro campus.

Four-Year Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics

Embry-Riddle’s Aeronautics program is a four-year degree available to our airplane students. The program offers classroom learning at ERAU’s Portland campus, with flight training at our Hillsboro campus. Students transferring from PCC’s Associates program are guaranteed admission if they maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average.

You’ll learn about everything from aviation security and safety to air traffic control and aeronautical science. Different electives and minors can be mixed and matched to meet your career goals.
