Complete Professional Pilot Program

Hillsboro Heli Academy’s professional pilot program is a full training course for people whose goal is to work as a career helicopter pilot. We’ve developed it to include everything students need to grasp safety, procedures, techniques, equipment, and technology. This program includes training for these certificates and ratings: Private, Instrument, Commercial, and Certified Flight Instructor.

During our professional pilot program, you will obtain all the skills and ratings required for you to enter the helicopter piloting industry. You will be armed with an incredible skill set and knowledge base that will allow you to be successful and safe in the industry. You will complete your professional pilot programwith approximately 200 hours of helicopter flight time which will help you meet the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) requirement of 200 hours needed to instruct in the Robinson R22 helicopter. This program is ideal for most of our students because it’s the combination of all of our individual courses rolled into one educational program. The goal of our professional pilot program is to prepare you to become the best-equipped professional pilot.

  • Solo Flight
  • Private Pilot Certificate
  • Instrument Pilot Certificate
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate
  • Certified Flight Instructor Rating

Pilots finishing this training plan will be ready to enter the industry as safe and efficient helicopter pilots. Most pilots will complete the program with 200 hours in their logbook. Meeting this benchmark is crucial for those who wish to instruct in the R22 and have to meet the FAA’s required minimum of 200 flight hours. However, we cannot guarantee a specific minimum for course completion—everyone learns at their own rate.

Hillsboro Heli Academy’s staff focuses on ensuring our students have a full understanding of everything from safety and equipment to  flight planning experience.
